Samurai[]

Masters of the blade and flashy sword techniques. Utterly serious. All of the time.

Bushido Weapon Style[]

Bushido is insanity unto death. At 8th level, the Samurai replaces the fighting style they picked at 2nd level with the Bushido Weapon Style. When wielding a longsword in one hand, and a shortsword in their offhand, the Samurai receives a +2 shield bonus to AC, and adds their Strength modifier to offhand attack damage. On a turn on which they use divine smite with their mainhand weapon, they deal bonus radiant damage with their offhand weapon equal to their Charisma mod.

Blade Grasp[]

If one stops to contemplate Bushido, the battle is lost. Scores of men cannot kill such a warrior! At 13th level, the Samurai can use a reaction in response to being attacked to counteract with their own attack. If their attack exceeds the triggering attack, it is negated and they proceed as if they had made an attack against the enemy making the attack, if they are within melee range. Otherwise (if the attack is ranged), the attack is simply negated. If they fail to beat the triggering attack roll, it resolves normally.

Zanshin[]

The sane will never accomplish great things. At 18th level, the Samurai rolls a d20 at the beginning of each of his turns. They can substitute this roll for any d20 roll they make, or if they inflict a save-provoking effect on a creature, they may use this roll in place of that enemies' roll.
